Probiotic Tablets
A lot of people wonder if probiotic tablets are as effective as other forms of probiotic supplements. The answer is multi-faceted and not extremely clear at this time. If you’re searching for probiotic tablets, you’ll only find a few fit for human consumption – the rest of them are for animals such as cats, dogs and horses. Since this site is dedicated to probiotic supplements for humans we won’t cover any animal probiotics. 
As an avid fan of probiotics, I searched high and low to give you the best information possible on probioitc tablets. Frankly, there aren’t that many in tablet form for people. However, Biogaia makes a tablet form for children called BioGaia Probiotic Chewable Tablets, which contains a healthy dose of 100 million Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis and can be used by both children and adults. I haven’t found a probiotic tablet that contains multiple strains of bacteria like found in primal defense ultra, so if you know of one, please comment and let me know. The majority of the probiotic tablets on the market contain just acidophilus or lactobacillus reuteri. However, there are a few on the market that contain multiple strains of beneficial bacteria, but these appear to be capsules even though they are labeled as tablets on the websites.
